Origins of AIM

The story of Alex I. McKenzie, MHK, begins in Nassau, The Bahamas. McKenzie was born and raised in the small island nation until the age of 12, where he then migrated to Canada. Sport, community, and mental health are professionally and personally imperative. With a steadfast passion for sport and psychology, McKenzie completed his BA (Hons) in Psychology from Western University. He continued his studies at the University of Windsor, receiving a Master of Human Kinetics in Applied Human Performance. He is currently undertaking his PhD in Clinical Psychology, looking at how to support mental health in, and through, sport.
